Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers United States

NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and august. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase from 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was exciting to see a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019 he stated. "The United States has been the most important market for Israel's tourism inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we had record number of Israeli tourism entries every month.

Canada is poised to beat Israel's tourism arrivals, with 7,200 tourists visiting Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019, with 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless whether they have been vaccinated. It already has hosted more than 600,000 visitors.
