Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry The numbers come from the United States

NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswirein July and August 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of tourist arrivals from the United States. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% growth over 2019.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to once again witness an growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure of the year 2019," he stated. "The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic there was a record-breaking number of monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to see this positive shift and anticipate an upward trend that will continue for months and even years.

Canada, not too far behind the United States of America, is poised to surpass the number of tourists visiting Israel. The country had 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in tourists in August.

Israel welcomed more tourists from all over the world in the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of these were American. Israel's official opening for travellers from May 2018. The country has already received over 600,400 US travelers since then.
