Neve Paritzki Israel Reliably Breaks Records in Tourism Entry Numbers United States

NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- In July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of visitors from the United States. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4% increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 epidemic that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourism numbers each month. We are thrilled to see this shift and are expecting an upward trend that will continue for months and even years.

Not far behind in the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourist arrivals in Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

Israel received more than 4.6 million tourists from abroad in the year 2019, with 969.600 being from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter whether they have been immunized. The country has already hosted more than 600,000.
